Two-Night Rex Foundation Benefit & Tribute to Bob Weir

Dark Star Orchestra is thrilled to announce their return to the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA for a special two-night stand on July 31 and August 1 as The Music Never Stops: A Rex Foundation Benefit & Tribute to Bob Weir. This highly anticipated run will feature a powerhouse lineup that will celebrate the Grateful Dead's extended family and enduring legacy.

On Friday, July 31, Melvin Seals & JGB featuring Jazz Mafia Horns will be on board as special guests ahead of a full, two-set Dark Star Orchestra show.

Saturday, August 1 will feature Dark Star Orchestra performing the 8/1/73 Roosevelt Stadium show in its entirety after Peter Rowan & Sam Grisman Project treat fans to an opening set of music from Old & The In The Way.

Proceeds from the weekend will support the Rex Foundation, the nonprofit founded in 1983 by members of the Grateful Dead. For more than four decades, the foundation has funded grassroots organizations in the arts, education, environmental initiatives, and social justice - reflecting the band’s longstanding commitment to community and giving back.
