Things get interesting as the band heads to the West Coast for a trio of shows in Felton, CA at Roaring Camp May 7 - 9. The first night of these sold out performances will mark the band’s 3000th live performance together and some very special, inanimate guests join the celebration. Thanks to the generosity of the instruments’ owners, both Jerry Garcia’s ‘Alligator’ guitar as well as Phil Lesh’s massive ‘Mission Control’ bass will channel The Music once again via the hands of DSO’s guitarist Jeff Mattson and bassist Skip Vangelas respectively. Both instruments return to the stage with Dark Star Orchestra following their use on a handful of California shows on the band’s last tour before the COVID-19 crisis hit and forced touring to cease.
