With the unfortunate cancellation of the Mighty High Mountain Fest, we added a couple of shows so our upstate New York friends can still get their DSO Boogie on for the weekend of May 18-19. Dark Star Orchestra is pleased to add May 18th at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY and May 19th at Rochester’s Water Street Music Hall to Spring Tour East 2013! Tickets for most shows are at DSOtix. And – of course – after our Upstate swing it’s on to Thornville, OH, where we’ll meet you at The Jubilee!
DSO High School Early Bird Ends Midnight Friday

DSO High School is coming up August 5 - 9 at the Full Moon Resort in the Catskills, and you have until midnight Friday, April 5, to save $200 off the full tuition. DSOHS offers an exclusive curriculum designed for the music-loving Head, with workshops, activities, music lessons and nightly Dark Star Orchestra shows. DSOHS is part of the Music Masters Camp series where educational, recreational and artistic workshops fill the days with sessions led by the members of DSO plus great instructors including Donna Jean Godchaux, Betty Cantor-Jackson and David Gans. Dark Star Orchestra has just kicked off Spring Tour West in Colorado, and before we’re done we’ll hit Phoenix, all of California – including five nights in the San Francisco Bay Area – and finish up on 4/20 weekend in the Pacific Northwest. All this leads to Spring Tour East, which includes the 2nd Annual Dark Star Jubilee. Dark Star Orchestra makes our annual cross-country trek starting June 28 as we kick off Summer Tour 2013 with a return to the gorgeous Mishawaka Amphitheatre in Bellvue, CO, winding our way across country to some familiar spots and some new ones, including August’s very first DSO High School in Big Indian, NY. Some of the highlights are festival stops at Gathering Of The Vibes, Great South Bay Music Festival, Bear’s Picnic and a Believe in Music Benefit at Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore. We are geared up to start touring again with you all aboard out Spring Tour West. Starting the last week in March with three shows in Colorado and spend the next three weeks bringing the cosmic party through the Southwest and California (including our first stop at Terrapin Crossroads!), before winding up in the Pacific NW for three 4/20 weekend shows. Jam in the Sand Recap

We want to thank each of you who joined us for the experience that was this year's Jam in the Sand Festival. Everything exceeded our expectations and we were beyond thrilled to participate in such an epic celebration of music and friends in such a beautiful location with friends and family, new and old. Big props go out to our crew; working tirelessly in wind, sand, rain and heat to bring you four amazing nights of music a midst wild tropical weather. We loved getting to share it with our long-time friend Keller Williams. The inspirational and impromptu jams, the bonfires at Far Bar, the conversations with each of you, the melding of music and a paradise location all made for a fantastic week in Negril, Jamaica.
We are beyond thrilled to let you know we'll be returning for a 2nd Annual Jam in the Sand come 2014. Details will be available soon. In the meantime, check out this initial 2013 Jam in the Sand photo album. See you in Jamaica in 2014, mon!

Dark Star Orchestra kicks off Spring Tour East 2013 on May 9 with the first of two shows at the fabled Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, hitting most of your favorite halls on the East Coast plus two festivals along the way. This run includes our annual stop at the Mighty High Mountain Fest in Tuxedo, NY and – of course – the Memorial Day Weekend 2nd Annual Dark Star Jubilee at Legend Valley in Thornville, OH.
